Why do most teams only have audio feeds and no video?

Bandwidth is expensive and any sort of webcasting takes up alot of bandwidth. In many cases, this is why most video webcasts are Pay-Per-View; however there are free video webcasts available if you look for them. Most teams have a free audio broadcast.

I've launched the webcast but I'm not seeing or hearing anything...

There could be a variety of answers: a) Many streams are only activated at gametime. Check the schedule on your selected team's broadcast page for game dates and times.

b) You may also not have the proper media player installed to view the selected webcast. If this is the case, you should be prompted to install the necessary software upon launching the webcast.

c) The selected link may be out of date, meaning the selected webcast is no longer available at this location, or the link may be broken.

I've launched the webcast, but all I'm getting is music...

Some webcasts are provided through locally owned radio stations that broadcast their content online. In these cases, the game broadcasts are only available at gametime. Check the schedule on your selected team's broadcast page for game dates and times.

I've launched the webcast, but I'm getting a 'Server is too busy' warning message...

The webcast you've selected has reached it's maximum allowed connections at one time. Try waiting a few minutes and try again, or try a different link.

Are the webcasts on this site free or do I have to pay for them?

All of the stream sources provided on Hockey Webcasts are available for free unless otherwise noted. In some cases a webcast may only be available in within a certain geographical area.
