Atlantic Hockey reaches broadband broadcasting deal
by www.atlantichockeyonline.com
The Atlantic Hockey Association and B2 Networks have announced a partnership to show every game of the league's regular and post season on the revolutionary broadband broadcasting network. Atlantic Hockey becomes the first NCAA Division I Conference to ink a season-long deal with B2 Networks. The new agreement enables fans to watch Atlantic Hockey contests live worldwide on B2 Networks beginning on Sunday, October 8, 2007, with a pair of exhibition matches straight through to the Atlantic Hockey Championships in March 2008 at the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, New York.
"This is a great opportunity for Atlantic Hockey and its members," states Bob DeGregorio, Commissioner of Atlantic Hockey. "Even though we would like friends, fans, families and alumni to watch their favorite teams in person, this gives those people, who are unable to attend, another avenue to see their teams play."
"B2 Networks is thrilled to be partnering with Atlantic Hockey and proud to say that they are the first NCAA Conference to sign a league-wide deal with B2 Networks," said Richard Brosal, B2 Networks Executive Vice President for Business Operations and Marketing. "As true hockey fans know, Atlantic Hockey teams can play with any NCAA team in the country, and our broadcasts will showcase to the world the great talent playing in the conference."
Fans wanting to watch Atlantic Hockey contests via B2 Networks will need a high-speed Internet connection and a current version of Windows Media Player. All games will be available for the normal B2 rate of $6 (US) or a full season pass for $79.95 per each paying customer to watch your favorite team and can be accessed through the league website, www.AtlanticHockeyOnline.com or through member institutions.
