The CBC announced yesterday it will kick off its 69 game NHL broadcast schedule on October 4th with games from the Czech Republic and Sweden. Meanwhile TSN announced its 70-game package, all of which will be available in high definition (HD), gets underway on October 14th.
In addition, it was announced that the NHL Network will air 40 live NHL games during the 2008-09 regular season, including the return of a 'Game-of-the-Week' match-up and the 'Fan Favourite' game.

CBC and TSN announce NHL Schedules for 2008-09
